Annual Bonfire & Fireworks Gala

 

This year's event took place on Saturday 7th November and was our 22nd annual fireworks event.

 

It's always a firm favourite in the town's calendar. In the past we have been able to raise substantial sums for local good causes too - all the funds from the night go straight back in to the community. Last year this was over £50,000.

 

Gates open in the early evening and shortly after the Bonfire is lit. There are usually a few warm up fireworks to get everyone in the mood for the big display. This is set against the wonderful panorama of the Castle, which is floodlit in a mass of colour for the evening.

 

The main display lasts for around half an hour, and is one of the biggest in the Midlands.

 

As well as the entertainment there is a range of food and warming drinks available across the field from a number of tents and stalls.

 

Tickets for the event can be bought in advance via this website from early September and will also be available through a number of local stores.  We publish all the details on this website and in the local press in the weeks leading up to the event.

 

It's difficult to describe the magic of the evening - you just have to be there!
